Over the last 15 years, digital printing technology has changed the printing industry. Starting in the year 1997, Rapid Color purchased a DPX Digital Plate Maker. Gone were the days of film, negatives, dark rooms and hours of X-Acto knives trimming and lining up film to put multiple copies on a page. With the DPX Rapid Color was able to digitally hit “Plate” and the computer did the work of several people and several hours literally in minutes. Rapid Color was one of the first companies in Las Vegas, NV to embrace Digital Printing and Platesetting. Again, this allows our clients to receive top of the line print quality at the most competitive pricing. 

Again, in 2004, Rapid Color Printing purchased its first true digital printing press. Digital ink was applied directly from a computer controller to a piece of paper. Similar to a Laser printer in your office, but with higher quality and speed, Rapid Color was able to digitally print 50 letter size flyers in full color a minute. All with true digital quality and with variable data on each page. 

Currently, Rapid Color has a state of the art violet platesetter for true digital platesetting and a Digital Printing Press capable of 600 dpi output on up to a 13” x 19” piece of paper up to 300 gsm at a speed of 55 letter size prints per minute.
